PesmesAlong the banks of the Ognon river, Pesmes has received a rich cultural heritage. It was born in the Middle Ages around a church and a castle whose location controlled the road from Gray to Dole. This city was so coveted that it was Frank, Germanic, Burgund and Spanish before becoming French under Louis XIV. The village has kept many buildings from this past : Saint Hilaire Church, built and redone between the 13th 18th, the remains of a castle, a part of the fortifications and 2 access gates.
